Another 57-storeyed skyscraper will be built later close by Hyatt Hotel. There will be a new business centre. The project is supposed to be fully finished by 2014.

Building of a new Yekaterinburg 5* hotel Hyatt Regency will be completed soon. It will be the second Hyatt in Russia and the second 5* hotel in Ekaterinburg. According to David Oganyan, manager of this project, a project is scheduled for completion by May, 9, 2008. The project is financed by the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), which will be the owner of the hotel afterwards. The Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), the largest regional enterprise has financed $110 million already. The hotel construction has started in August 2005. First tourists will be able to stay in the hotel in July 2008 already.
The project of Hyatt Regency Åkaterinburg was designed by the leading architect company Valode&Pistre (Franc). When construction work is finished, Hyatt International Corporation will need 3 months to complete with technology, equipment and management arrangement. Yekaterinburg Hyatt hotel will be a joint venture of the Buig Batiman International, French Architect Company, as a general contractor and OPIM International, Swiss Consulting Company, as a project manager. In June, 2007 Verh-Istskaya Investment Construction Company Ltd and the leading hotel operator Hyatt International contracted to manage Hyatt Hotel in Ekaterinburg. According to this contract Hyatt International will control designing and decoration of the hotel rooms to meet Hyatt Regency concept, besides, it will be responsible for numerous services offered by Regency Club. When the hotel is open, Hyatt International will proceed to administrative work and management of the hotel complex. Currency of contract is 20 years. It’s planned to hire 400 persons of the hotel staff.
Hyatt Regency in Ekaterinburg will comprise 3 parts: underground parking with 135 lots, 20-storey hotel with 297 rooms and meeting and convention space. The smallest standard double room is 34,5 sq.m., the biggest president apartment is 225 sq.m. Almost all rooms have picturesque view down the Iset River, flowing through the city. Entertainment space will include fitness-center with a swimming pool and SPA on the 19th floor. There will be two restaurants, 6 meeting rooms and one more big meeting room for 600 persons. Hayatt hotel of Ekaterinburg is oriented for businessmen and high-ranking officials. Particularly, conferees of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit will stay in the hotel in 2009.
