Building Siberian Trade Bank

A wonderful and quite rare in Ekaterinburg example of Classicism that was thoroughly preserved and has just recently been restored. Initially this building was constructed in 1840s, but it had two separate volumes - house of merchant Savelyev and merchant Shabalin, both built according to the project of architect Sartorius. But since 1872 the first and in 1903 the second house were acquired by a bank and joined into one building of Siberian Trade Bank. Nowadays this building housing Guta Bank proves that Ekaterinburg naturally blends together traditions of the past and modern reality.
