Several basic factors determine the climates of Ekateriburg. The city’s size and compact shape produce a dominance of continental regimes. In fact there are only two seasons, winter and summer; spring and autumn are brief periods of rapid change from one extreme to other. Summers are mild with interchanging periods of rainy and dry weather. January average temperature is about - 15,5 degrees sometimes it raises up to - 40 degrees (Cel). Winters are cold sometimes with severe frosts. The average temperature in July is + 17,5 degrees (sometimes up to + 40 degrees).
